The January, April, July and October meetings are devoted to our Community CERT Teams. Teams from all over the Mountain Empire are invited
to attend these classroom refresher / training sessions.

During the November 9 th 2004 Disaster Defense Team Meeting, Herman Reddick of the San Diego County Department of Emergency Services gives the loyalty oath to the first members of the Mountain Empire CERT Teams.

USGS has a free system that will send an E-mail to any Internet e-mail address when an earthquake happens. Follow this link to their page with this setup. You can choose the format to send a short message to your cell phone. Most cell providers only charge a few cents per message for this feature. check with your cell service provider.
